John Pass, community worker and theologian, was born 1961 in Deep River, Capetown. He works since several years as an outreachworker in Capetown with people, who live on the street. He knows these peoples life very well, since he himself lived in the streets for several years. His decision to return to his family and therefore back to normal live, is connected with what John Pass sees as his calling.
“John, the community worker, that is my calling, my goal and my passion. I have here thousand of people, who love me, respect me and who have trust in me in the same way I love them, respects them and trust them since over 30 years. I would bend myself backwards, break metal with bare hands, only to see a smile on the faces of the poor, addicted and the penniless.”
